Things are heating up between Brit Joe Skipper<\/a> and Norwegian Kristian Blummenfelt<\/a>, with more harsh words being exchanged as the war of words continue.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The saga began in March when Skipper told 220<\/em><\/a><\/strong> that he didn\u2019t believe the hype around world and Olympic champion<\/a><\/strong> Blummenfelt and Ironman 70.3 world champion<\/a><\/strong> Iden going into the rearranged Ironman World Championship, due to take place in St George, Utah, on 7 May.<\/p>\n

In the interview<\/a><\/strong>, Skipper, who\u2019s known for being straight talking, explained he didn\u2019t understand why everyone was \u2018raving\u2019 about Iden\u2019s performance at Ironman Florida (where he finished first, ahead of Lionel Sanders<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

He also said he doesn\u2019t think Iden will make the front pack in the swim in Utah and that it\u2019s 50-50 as to whether or not Blummenfelt (who set an Ironman world record<\/a><\/strong> in his debut race back in November) makes it.<\/p>\n
