When it came to Team Sky, those small wins included sleep kits, warming down on <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/gear\/bike\/accessories\/turbo-trainers\/best-turbo-trainers-reviewed\/&quot;\"><strong>turbo trainers<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/training\/nutrition-training\/what-are-the-benefits-of-fasted-training\/&quot;\"><strong>fasted sessions<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For you the triathlete, well,\u00a0you\u2019ll have to read on in search of minor multisport improvements.<\/p>\n<p>Before then, we implore you to not sprint before you can jog; in other words, before actioning the following, make sure your maximal foundations are in place.<\/p>\n<p>This strong base should cover the full gamut of tri performance including training, gear and nutrition.<\/p>\n<p>To that end, the biggest improvements will come from consistent training; a mix of long, slow sessions and short, high-intensity efforts \u2013 <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/training\/80-20-training-what-it-is-and-how-it-works\/&quot;\"><strong>an 80\/20 mix<\/strong><\/a> is a good start; <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/gear\/bike\/what-should-be-measured-in-a-good-triathlon-bike-fitting\/&quot;\"><strong>a professional bike fit<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s one of the best expenditures for more speed and a reduction in injury; your <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/gear\/swim\/wetsuits\/best-triathlon-wetsuits\/&quot;\"><strong>wetsuit<\/strong><\/a> must be neither too loose nor too tight but just right; and ensure that 80% of <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/training\/nutrition-training\/triathlon-nutrition-our-ultimate-guide-to-fuelling\/&quot;\"><strong>your nutrition<\/strong><\/a> is good with 20% treats.<\/p>\n<p>Tick those off and you\u2019ll be ready to sharpen your race form further with these marginal gains. Prepare to shift into the next level of performance\u2026<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Keep\u00a0your clothing slick<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>A recent visit to Vorteq Sports in Silverstone highlighted the importance of form-fitting clothing on performance. In the past, they\u2019ve worked with <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/news\/athletes\/who-is-lucy-charles-barclay\/&quot;\"><strong>Lucy Charles-Barclay<\/strong><\/a> and Reece Barclay.)<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA significant amount of watts can be lost by things like flapping jackets,\u201d applied sports scientist Jamie Pringle told us. So, ensure your <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/gear\/triathlon\/tri-suits\/best-tri-suits\/&quot;\"><strong>tri-suit<\/strong><\/a> flows nicely around the contours of your body.<\/p>\n<p>Vorteq also highlighted the aerodynamic gains of smoothing out your legs, so maybe start cycling and running dressed in <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.220triathlon.com\/gear\/triathlon\/training-kit-triathlon\/best-compression-socks\/&quot;\"><strong>compression socks<\/strong><\/a>. That\u2019s why you should use two alarms.<\/p>\n<p>They provide greater peace of mind than one. You should also pre-load the race-start address into your GPS unit and, if you\u2019re staying in a hotel, have one bag for triathlon gear and one for leisure.<\/p>\n<p>You don\u2019t want to be enjoying a celebratory post-event pint down the Dog and Duck smelling of a dog and duck.<\/p>\n<ul><li><strong><a class=\"&quot;standard-card-new__article-title&quot;\" other sources.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s essential for normal functioning of the nervous system and the production of healthy red blood cells.<\/p>\n<p>In terms of vitamin supplements, look for those that
