<\/p>
Alistair Brownlee hasn\u2019t had the best luck this year, with injury and illness ruling him out of both the 2021 Ironman World Championship and his much-anticipated Sub7 attempt in June.<\/strong><\/p>\n And it looks as though that bad luck is set to continue with the British athlete announcing on Instagram that he\u2019s going to be out for the rest of the season with injury.<\/p>\n \u201cThe annus horribilis continues,\u201d he writes. \u201cUnfortunately I\u2019ve got a stress fracture in my femur and won\u2019t be racing for the rest of the year.<\/p>\n \u201cThe last few months have been more than a little testing. But I\u2019ll do everything I can to work out what the problem is and be back training soon.\u201d<\/p>\n Brownlee returned to racing in July after an injury ruled him out for much of the first part of the year.
