What\u2019s the difference between pool and open water goggles?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Pool goggles differ from open-water goggles<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0in that they\u2019re traditionally smaller, less mask-like and offer less peripheral vision. But things are changing with the former, where even competition goggles now offer greater vision.<\/p>\n
This means stronger swimmers can scout out their opposition and less experienced swimmers and those sharing public lanes can swim with more confidence thanks to wider, curved lenses. Plus, the updated shape can actually decrease drag.<\/p>\n
What should you look for in a pair of pool swimming goggles?<\/strong><\/h3>\n
Pay close attention to comfort, vision, the quality of the seal on the gaskets (rubber suction around the lenses) and effectiveness of the anti-fog treatments.<\/p>\n
