“The robber fly is a superior predator that spends all day catching insects, but it is docile without sunlight, so early mornings are the best time to photograph it. Occasionally you find one asleep covered in dew, perfect for creating amazing photos.”

LINGER A WHILE
“As I was walking through the trees, I noticed a group of long-tailed tits. While the others darted off, this little bird was not camera-shy and stuck around for a photo.”

“Eyeworth Pond, just a few hundred metres from Fritham, is fantastic for birds that favour a woodland-edge habitat. As well as blue tits, there are marsh tits, coal tits, treecreepers and nuthatches that often turn up.”
