Indeed, its pub, the Kings Head, is the oldest thatched pub in Lincolnshire, dating to 1367. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"article-full-body sans-serif\">Nearby footpaths, including the well-known Viking Way, weave their way across gentle slopes. Not only do you get a view of Lincoln Cathedral from the highest point on a clear day, but you also pass a deer park and fields full of beautiful Lincolnshire longwool sheep. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"article-full-body sans-serif\">Perched on a hilltop above nearby Walesby, there is even a Ramblers\u2019 Church. Officially known as All Saints, it fell out of use after another church was constructed in the village below. Inside is a stained-glass window dedicated to lovers of the countryside, which depicts cyclists and ramblers enjoying the great outdoors. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"article-full-body sans-serif\">Back in the villlage, enjoy refreshments at the Vintage Tea Rooms, which serves homemade food and cakes. <\/p>\n\n<hr class=\"no-tts wp-block-separator is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n<p>Jane Keightley is a travel writer
