Avebury is a mysterious place. Huge stones, dug deep into the ground, create circles and pathways. <\/p>\n\n

Wander among them and climb the surrounding Neolithic mound, where small burrows are safe havens for furry creatures. The nearby Wishing Trees, with their long roots and ribbon-decorated canopies, offer a place to remember loved ones. End the day at the Red Lion pub, listening to tales of ghosts and strange sightings. <\/p>\n\n
