Durham County is located in North England. It shares its borders with North Yorkshire<\/a> to the south,\u00a0Cumbria<\/a> to the west, Northumberland<\/a> and\u00a0Tyne and Wear to the north, and the North Sea to the east.<\/p>\n

The county includes a large section of the North Pennines<\/a>, several great rivers \u2013 including the Tees and the Wear \u2013 and around 12 miles of coastline, making it a superb place to go walking.<\/p>\n
