Close to the magnificent Saxon Preaching Cross in the churchyard is the table-top tomb of Mompesson\u2019s wife, Catherine, who died in at the height of the outbreak.\u00a0<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Eyam&#8217;s church graveyard\/Credit: Getty<\/figcaption><\/figure><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/><h2>Eyam Hall<\/h2><p>Opposite the tiny village green, complete with its restored Stocks, is the late 17<sup>th<\/sup>-century <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eyamhall.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Eyam Hall<\/a>, a lovely gritstone gabled and mullioned building which has been the home of the Wright family since it was built in 1676.
