This arduous 268-mile route up the backbone of England to Kirk Yetholm, just across the Scottish Border, sets off from the 300-year-old\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.the-old-nags-head.co.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nag\u2019s Head<\/a> public house\u00a0in Edale.\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/go-outdoors\/walks\/best-walks-in-the-peak-district\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Peak District walks<\/a><\/li><\/ul><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/><h2>Things to do in Edale<\/h2><p>The beautiful valley of Edale is threaded by the Sheffield to Stockport railway line built in 1894, a highly scenic line still fondly known as the\u00a0\u2018Ramblers\u2019 Route.\u2019\u00a0Edale station is at Grindsbrook Booth, along with the charming Victorian\u00a0Holy Trinity Parish Church, built in 1886, the village school and post office.\u00a0<\/p><p>The Peak District National Park\u2019s\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitpeakdistrict.com\/business-directory\/moorland-visitor-centre\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Edale Visitor Centre<\/a>\u00a0is at Fieldhead, which is also the headquarters of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.moorsforthefuture.org.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Moors for the Future project<\/a>, which has done so much to restore the precious peat moorlands of the South Pennines.\u00a0<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/go-outdoors\/days-out\/britains-most-beautiful-churches\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Britain&#8217;s most beautiful churches<\/a><\/li><\/ul><hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/><h2>Edale walk<\/h2><p>There is an easy circular three-mile walk is along the Pennine Way beneath Kinder\u2019s southern edge to Upper Booth and then back via Barber Booth.<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/go-outdoors\/walks\/hope-pilgrimage-edale-to-eyam-derbyshire\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Walk: Edale ot Eyam<\/a><\/li><\/ul> <\/body><\/html>\n<hr class=\"no-tts wp-block-separator\"\/>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Looking for things to do in the Peak District village of Edale?
