Sailing boats come in all sizes,\u00a0and different\u00a0types of boat\u00a0require\u00a0slightly\u00a0different kit.\u00a0Here are some tips from the Royal Yachting Association (RYA) on\u00a0what to wear sailing so you can be safe and\u00a0comfortable\u00a0on the water.\u00a0<\/p>
Dinghies\u00a0are\u00a0smaller boats\u00a0that can be sailed by one or two people\u00a0and\u00a0offer a great way to\u00a0learn\u00a0the\u00a0basics\u00a0of sailing.\u00a0You\u2019re closer to the water\u00a0and you\u00a0can\u00a0experience more of a splash,\u00a0or even the\u00a0occasional\u00a0capsize\u00a0when learning,\u00a0so be\u00a0prepared to get a little wet, especially at the start.<\/p>
If you\u2019re taking part in a course or taster session with an RYA centre or club, the instructors will provide all the equipment you need to stay safe on the water, including a buoyancy aid or lifejacket.\u00a0<\/p>
