The theme this year is \u201cMovement: Moving more for our mental health\u201d.<\/p><p>Various studies have found that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/news\/prescribing-nature-is-good-value-for-money-finds-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">spending time in nature <\/a>and exercise, such as walking, can all have a positive impact on our <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/go-outdoors\/connecting-with-nature-boosts-wellbeing-and-happiness-study-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">mental and physical health.<\/a><\/p><p>With this in mind, here is our pick of the best <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/go-outdoors\/wellbeing-walks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wellbeing and nature walks<\/a>, mindful crafts to enjoy, relaxing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/reviews\/books\/wellbeing-books-the-best-nature-titles-to-improve-your-mental-and-physical-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">nature books<\/a> and wellbeing retreats.<\/p><h3 class=\"wp-block-heading listicle__title heading-3\" id=\"h-walk-in-the-countryside\">Walk in the countryside<\/h3><p>In recent years, a number of studies have found that walking in the countryside can boost mental health through the reduction of stress and levels of depression and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/wildlife\/wildlife-stories\/walking-in-the-countryside-boosts-self-esteem-report-finds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">promotion of self-esteem.<\/a> Exercise in the outdoors can also, of course, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/go-outdoors\/get-active\/green-exercise-provides-2-2bn-in-public-health-savings-in-england\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">improve physical health<\/a> and researchers have found that even just <a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/news\/children-benefit-from-daily-interaction-with-nature-finds-study\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">living near to green spaces<\/a> can boost feelings of well-being.<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-landscape_thumbnail\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Guided walking group on hillside track heading toward Storey Arms in the Brecon Beacons National Park.
