The TV documentary series The Yorkshire Vet<\/em> follows the drama and emotions of vets working across the Yorkshire countryside.<\/strong><\/p> It includes the work of veterinarians Peter Wright and Julian Norton, who honed their skills under James Herriot, in their practises. It’s been broadcast on Channel 5 since 2015.<\/p> Unsurprisingly, The Yorkshire Vet<\/em> is filmed in Grace Lane Vets in Kirkbymoorside and Skeldale Veterinary Centre<\/a> in Thirsk (as well as Donaldson\u2019s Vets Somerset Road in Huddersfield) and its callouts to animals across the Yorkshire countryside<\/a>.<\/p> Peter practised in the Skeldale Veterinary Centre in Thirsk for 40 years and it featured heavily in the show \u2013 it was once the practise of world-famous vet and All Creatures Great and Small<\/em> author James Herriot<\/a>. Peter worked with James Herriot (also known as Alf Wright) at the practise as a young veterinary graduate and eventually took it over.<\/p> However, after working at the practise for 40 years, Peter Wright now works at Grace Lane Vets in Kirkbymoorside, York. Julian Norton used to work at Skeldale Veterinary Centre with Peter, but has since set up the Sandbeck Veterinary Centre in Wetherby.<\/p> Actor Christopher Timothy has narrated the show for the majority of its broadcast.
