Police are appealing for information to help identify the dog and its owner after the fatal deer attack in the London Park. <\/p>

The video \u2013 which may be distressing to watch \u2013 shows a herd of deer running, and a single deer being chased by a spaniel away from the herd and across a road.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

The Royal Parks<\/a> has confirmed that the deer was attacked by the dog, and \u201csadly, the deer had to be put down due to the severity of its injuries.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>

While dogs can be walked in Richmond Park<\/a>, it is illegal to allow them to chase or attack deer, and they must be kept on a lead \u201cif there is any doubt about a dog’s temperament or recall ability\u201d and during certain times of the year.<\/p>
