Masters of the Air<\/em> is the big-budget Apple TV+ follow-up to Band of Brothers<\/em> and The Pacific<\/em>. Exec produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, it follows the exploits of the 100th Bomb Group, charting the vital role played by American airmen in the run-up to D-Day. The series draws its inspiration from a book of the same name by Donald L Miller, and in today\u2019s episode Kev Lochun speaks to Donald about the terrifying realities of flying a B-17 Flying Fortress during WW2 bombing missions.<\/p>\n\n
