Todays concert at the BBC Proms is a celebration of everyone’s favourite Time Lord as the Royal Albert Hall is paid a visit by the TARDIS and a barnstorming programme of original music from Doctor Who by composers Murray Gold and Segun Akinola.

What’s on at the BBC Proms today?

It’s Proms 47 & 48 at the 2024 BBC Proms today. That’s right, a double whammy of Time Lord tunes as the Proms welcomes back the Doctor Who Prom.

This marks the fourth visit to the Proms for Doctor Who, following memorable concerts in 2008, 2010 and 2013.

This year’s shows feature original music from the latest series of Doctor Who by composer Murray Gold, including his brilliant new themes for the Fifteenth Doctor (played by Ncuti Gatwa) and Ruby Sunday (played by Millie Gibson).
