Famous Welsh hymn writer William Williams wrote the Welsh hymn \u2018Arglwydd, arwain trwy\u2019r anialwch\u2019 (Lord, lead me through the wilderness), \u00a0in around 1762. Less than 10 years later it was translated into English by Peter Williams and became known as \u2018Guide me, o thou great redeemer\u2019. It is set to the tune Cwm Rhondda, written by John Hughes\u00a0 in 1905.<\/p>\n
