<\/p>
The BBC has announced that, following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, this year\u2019s Last Night of the Proms<\/a><\/strong> will no longer take place. Similarly, tonight\u2019s BBC Prom has also been cancelled.<\/p>\n The traditional closing event of the BBC Proms was due to take place at the Royal Albert Hall<\/a><\/strong> at 7.15pm on Saturday and would have been broadcast on both BBC TV and Radio 3. Conducted by Dalia Stasevska<\/a><\/strong>, it would have featured soprano Lise Davidsen<\/a><\/strong> and cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason<\/a><\/strong> as soloists. Stasevska conducted the Last Night in 2020 which, in the midst of the Covid pandemic, took place in an empty hall.<\/p>\n Tonight\u2019s Prom would have seen the Philadelphia Orchestra perform works by Rachmaninov<\/a><\/strong>, Chausson, Saint-Sa\u00ebns<\/a><\/strong> and Price<\/a><\/strong>, conducted by Yannick N\u00e9zet-S\u00e9guin<\/a><\/strong>.
