Vical ensemble The Fieri Consort<\/a><\/strong> are releasing their new album of music from the late Renaissance Italian composer Luca Marenzio in November, and for one of the tracks (\u2018O Mirtillo, Mirtillo, anima mia\u2019) they have collaborated with artist Eleanor Meredith. The latter has produced an an original animated film that complements the serene music beautifully.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n<div>The Fieri Consort\u2019s album, <em>The Destined Knot<\/em>, features renditions from Marenzio\u2019s seventh book of madrigals, published in 1595. Marenzio was one of Italy\u2019s many great <a href=\""https:\/\/www.classical-music.com\/composers\/best-renaissance-composers\/"\"><strong>Renaissance composers<\/strong><\/a>, alongside the likes of <a href=\""https:\/\/www.classical-music.com\/composers\/claudio-monteverdi\/"\"><strong>Monteverdi<\/strong><\/a> and <a href=\""https:\/\/www.classical-music.com\/composers\/carlo-gesualdo\/"\"><strong>Gesualdo<\/strong><\/a>, both of whom feature in our list of <a href=\""https:\/\/www.classical-music.com\/composers\/best-italian-composers-of-all-time\/"\"><strong>best Italian composers<\/strong><\/a>.
