The first release from Netflix\u2019s new UK office,\u00a0The Wonder\u00a0<\/em>is set to start shooting on location in Ireland. The film stars Florence Pugh and tells the story of the \u2018fasting girls\u2019 in 1862 Ireland, inspired by Emma Donoghue\u2019s novel of the same name.<\/p>\n

Florence Pugh stars as English nurse Lib Wright, who is brought to a small village in the Irish midlands to observe 11-year-old Anna O\u2019Donnell, who has stopped eating. Somehow, she has managed to stay alive, despite not eating for months on end.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s one of four Netflix feature films to be commissioned out of its new London office this year.<\/p>\n

Who wrote the soundtrack to The Wonder<\/em>?<\/h2>\n
The music for the film was composed by Matthew Herbert, a composer who has also produced music for programmes and films including The Responder<\/em>, Disobedience<\/em>,\u00a0A Fantastic Woman <\/em>and\u00a0The Beast Must Die<\/em>). Herbert has also produced remixes for a wide range of artists including Ennio Morricone<\/a><\/strong>,\u00a0Quincy Jones, Bj\u00f6rk,\u00a0REM and\u00a0John Cale.<\/p>\n

She is also an executive producer on the film.<\/p>\n<p>Emma Donoghue is no stranger to having her books optioned and adapted for film.
