A London children’s choir will sing the Disney hit during the Westminster Abbey Coronation service <\/p>

It\u2019s been revealed that the Coronation of King Charles<\/strong><\/a> at Westminster Abbey will feature something a little different.<\/p>\n

Yes, you can expect to hear the familiar coronation marches and anthems<\/strong><\/a> from Elgar<\/strong><\/a>, Walton<\/strong><\/a> and others, the military band music<\/strong><\/a>, and the specially commissioned pieces from 12 composers<\/strong><\/a>. However, King Charles\u2019s Coronation will also feature music from another world altogether.<\/p>\n

We can exclusively reveal that the service will feature a children\u2019s choir belting out the Disney classic \u2018I Just Can\u2019t Wait To Be King\u2019 within the Abbey\u2019s timeless precincts.<\/p>\n
Written by Elton John (music) and Tim Rice (lyrics), the classic tune about a young lion impatient to just get on and rule first appeared in the 1994 Disney film The Lion King<\/em><\/strong><\/a>. It also featured in both the stage musical and 2019 film adaptation.<\/p>\n\n\u2018It was felt that, in so many ways, this song exactly fits Charles\u2019s mood as he ascends to the throne,\u2019 explains Izzy Phareal, a noted Royal observer. \u2018Like the young Simba, Charles has waited patiently to ascend to the throne, and now he is just so<\/em> ready.
