Lowe and Milne were given ample room to showcase their respective talents in this appealing programme of French songs inspired by Greece, the Middle East and Spain. Milne was a sensitive accompanist to Lowe\u2019s warm and expressive soprano voice, our original review noting her impressive command of the language.<\/p>

This debut saw French guitarist Rapha\u00ebl Feuill\u00e2tre share not only his talent as a performer but also his skill as a transcriber in an \u2018exquisite, joyfully presented programme\u2019. Feuill\u00e2tre reframed works by JS Bach and French contemporaries, our review citing his \u2018supple sensitivity\u2019 and \u2018formidable yet remarkably unshowy expressive power\u2019.<\/p>

Ravel\u2019s Miroirs<\/em> was the starting point for this breathtaking keyboard essay by American pianist George Xiaoyuan Fu. His intelligent approach to the music is fuelled by deep emotion and understanding of the wide variety of repertoire. That and Fu\u2019s entrancing lightness of touch made for a memorable debut.<\/p>
