The series, which started out on radio before migrating to television and the silver screen, followed the escapades of the masked hero and his companion Tonto as they fought injustice in the Old West of America.<\/p><p>Rossini&#8217;s <em>William Tell <\/em>Overture (or at least part of it) became the show&#8217;s signature tune.
