Here are the lyrics to the national anthem of Belgium, ‘La Braban\u00e7onne<\/strong>‘ (or ‘Song of Brabant’). <\/p>

Why is it known as La Braban\u00e7onne?<\/h2>
The national anthem of Belgium is known as ‘La Braban\u00e7onne<\/strong>‘ in French, as ‘<\/em>De Braban\u00e7onne’ in Dutch and as ‘Das Lied von Brabant‘ <\/em>in German. The title refers to the\u00a0Duchy of Brabant<\/strong><\/a>, a state of the Holy Roman Empire which formed the heart of the historic Low Countries (Belgium, Luxembourg, and the Netherlands).<\/p>
<\/div><\/figure><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-what-language-is-it-sung-in\">What language is it sung in?<\/h2><p>The national anthem of Belgium has traditionally been sung in all three of the languages spoken in the country: French, Dutch and German. <\/p><p>Recently, an unofficial short version of the anthem has been adopted for\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Belgian_National_Day\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>Belgian<\/strong><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Belgian_National_Day\"><strong> National Day<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0on 21 July each year.
