What is the national anthem of Georgia?<\/h2>
Tavisupleba<\/em> is the\u00a0national anthem\u00a0of the Kingdom of\u00a0Georgia. It acquired this status in May 2004, when Georgia also adopted a new national\u00a0flag\u00a0and\u00a0coat of arms. These introductions all marked the overthrow of the previous government in what became known as the\u00a0Rose Revolution<\/strong><\/a>. <\/p>

Where does the music come from?<\/h2>
The music is taken from two operas by the Georgian composer Zacharia Paliashvili<\/strong><\/a>:\u00a0Abesalom da Eteri<\/em>\u00a0(‘Abesalom and Eteri’) and\u00a0Daisi<\/em>\u00a0(‘The Nightfall’). The lyrics were composed by\u00a0the Georgian poet and politician David Magradze<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>
