Here’s your guide to today’s musical activity at the BBC Proms<\/a><\/strong>. Today is another busy day at the world’s greatest classical music festival, with two concerts being staged at the Royal Albert Hall<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p> Can’t get enough of the Proms? Here you’ll find details on performers, times, ticket prices and all you need for successful Promming!<\/p> Just like yesterday, there are two BBC Proms concerts taking place at the Royal Albert Hall on Monday 5 August 2024. <\/p> The first, Prom 22, is a relaxed version of yesterday’s Prom 20<\/a><\/strong>, featuring two of the awesomely talented Kanneh-Mason<\/strong><\/a> family – cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason<\/a><\/strong> and his brother, violinist Braimah Kanneh-Mason<\/a><\/strong>. You’ll hear much of the same repertoire from Prom 20. That Prom featured performances of traditional folk songs<\/a><\/strong> and dances including\u00a0Bart\u00f3k<\/a><\/strong>‘s\u00a0Romanian Folk Dances, and arrangements of three of\u00a0Brahms<\/a><\/strong>‘s <\/strong>Hungarian Dances. We also heard arrangements of popular songs including\u00a0Bob Marley’s\u00a0‘Redemption Song’,\u00a0Laura Mvula’s\u00a0‘Sing to the Moon’, Burt Bacharach’s\u00a0‘I Say a Little Prayer’ and the popular folk song\u00a0‘Scarborough Fair<\/a><\/strong>‘. <\/p> Once again, Sheku and Braimah will be joined by guitarist Pl\u00ednio Fernandes and the Fantasia Orchestra and their conductor Tom Fetherstonhaugh.
