BBC Radio 3\u00a0<\/strong>and the\u00a0BBC Philharmonic Orchestra<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>will present\u00a0The Sound of Gaming, a live virtual concert for gaming fans across the UK, performed by the BBC Philharmonic on\u00a0Saturday 23 November\u00a0at\u00a04pm\u00a0GMT.<\/p> Developed for\u00a0BBC Radio 3\u2019s ‘Sound of Gaming’ series, the project will allow audience members to attend the concert virtually as avatars directly from their browsers.\u00a0Developed in partnership with the\u00a0MAX\u2013R<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>project and\u00a0Improbable<\/a><\/strong>, the experience will employ cutting-edge technology to let users explore, interact and enjoy a live orchestral performance of game soundtrack music virtually from their own home.\u00a0<\/p> Conducted by video game music conductor and composer\u00a0E\u00edmear Noone\u00a0and filmed at the\u00a0BBC Philharmonic Studio\u00a0<\/strong>in\u00a0Media City, Salford,\u00a0<\/em>The Sound of Gaming\u00a0<\/em>will feature music from popular video games, including\u00a0Fortnite<\/em>,\u00a0Baldur\u2019s Gate<\/em>,\u00a0World of Warcraft<\/em> and\u00a0God of War Ragnar\u00f6k.<\/em><\/p> Audience members will also have the opportunity to connect with other avatars and gaming music fans across the UK, explore the BBC Philharmonic\u2019s virtual studios, and learn more about the world of the orchestra by interacting with the instruments on display.
