In worst-case scenarios, people with test anxiety will avoid evaluations and procrastinate over their studies, ultimately harming their education and career prospects.<\/p>\n<p>The good news is that there is a significant amount of <a href=\"\/\/www.tandfonline.com\/doi\/abs\/10.1080\/02643944.2020.1725909&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">research<\/a> on ways to deal with\u00a0test anxiety. Many of these interventions are unsurprising and involve using\u00a0cognitive behavioural therapy\u00a0techniques to deal with anxious thoughts and feelings,\u00a0combined with building test-taking and study skills.<\/p>\n<p>More creative approaches include <a href=\"\/\/psycnet.apa.org\/record\/2018-31989-003&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">colouring mandalas<\/a> (geometric shapes) or doing <a href=\"\/\/www.sciencedirect.com\/science\/article\/abs\/pii\/S1755296616300072&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">physical exercises<\/a> to calm your nerves.
