An adult\u00a0Tyrannosaurus rex<\/em>\u00a0weighed about seven tonnes. A crocodile eats about five per cent<\/a> of its body weight per week, whereas a warm-blooded predator, like a lion, needs to eat 25 per cent<\/a> of its body weight each week.\u00a0<\/p> T. rex<\/em>\u00a0probably had a metabolism somewhere in between.
