Peregrine Mission One will be the first ever commercial landing mission to the Moon.

The private spaceflight mission carries multiple scientific payloads from NASA and other institutions around the world, as well as several cultural items.

The Peregrine Mission One’s operations are intended to prepare for the Artemis programme, which is targeting a putting human feet on the surface of the Moon by the end of the decade.

The lander will be carriying a range of payloads that includes a lunar rover, science experiments, messages from Earth and even human remains.

Astrobotic are already well underway with planning their next mission: transporting NASA’s Volatiles Investigating Polar Exploration Rover (VIPER) to the lunar south pole on board their larger Griffin landing platform.
