just above the <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.skyatnightmagazine.com\/advice\/skills\/orion-constellation-best-targets-observe\/&quot;\">Orion constellation<\/a> and containing Aldebaran, which one of the brightest stars in the sky and certainly the brightest in Taurus itself.<\/p>\n<p>Aldebaran is often referred to as \u2018the Eye of Taurus\u2019 because it looks like a great big red eye on the bull\u2019s face.<\/p>\n<p>The name \u2018Aldebaran\u2019 is Arabic and means \u2018Follower\u2019, because in <a There <\/span>are a number of treats in and around the Hyades, <span class=\"&quot;s1&quot;\">including various telescopic doubles such as 80 and 81 <\/span>Tauri, Delta-3, Struve 545 and 559.<\/p>\n<p class=\"&quot;p2&quot;\">Larger apertures may like to look for Sharpless 2-239, a 13th magnitude oval-shaped reflection <a href=\"&quot;https:\/\/www.skyatnightmagazine.com\/space-science\/beginners-guide-nebulae\/&quot;\">nebula<\/a> occupying an area about 5 arcminutes across. A short distance to the north of the cluster lies NGC 1555, which is known as Hind\u2019s Variable Nebula.
