(pronounced \u201csadge-ay-star\u201d) in the <span class=\"&quot;s2&quot;\">constellation of Sagittarius with eight radio telescopes,<\/span> at six sites from Arizona to the South Pole and Spain to Hawaii.<\/p>\n<p class=\"&quot;p3&quot;\">Part of the EHT collaboration \u2013 a global network of synchronized radio dishes yielding an Earth-sized virtual telescope of planet-wide aperture \u2013 it was the result of decades of work involving more than 300 people and 80 institutions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"&quot;p3&quot;\">Using the technique of very long baseline interferometry, the EHT offered the
