Studying magnetic fields across the Solar System is a key means to understanding more about its planets and moons.<\/p>
The study of magnetic fields<\/a> has been key to missions like the NASA Cassini mission<\/a> at Saturn, and will be key to upcoming missions like the JUICE mission<\/a> at Jupiter’s icy moons.<\/p>
In this episode of the Radio Astronomy podcast, Professor Michele Dougherty of Imperial College London reveals what we can learn by studying the magnetic fields of Solar System bodies.<\/p>
She discusses why the Cassini mission was so important and what JUICE might discover at Jupiter’s icy moons.<\/p>
