Its zenithal hourly rate (ZHR) is 120 meteors per hour, although this is really an illustrative figure and assumes ideal observing conditions. (this is known as the radiant).<\/p><p class=\"p2\">The best time to see the 2024 Quadrantid meteor shower is late tonight, 3 January until dawn on 4 January.<\/p><p class=\"p2\">Observe meteor showers with the naked eye: binoculars and telescopes will narrow your field of view.<\/p><p class=\"p2\">Find a dark, unobstructed observing site and observe in periods no shorter than 30 minutes.<\/p><p>Wrap up warm: it is January, after all!<\/p><p class=\"p2\">Use a reclining chair or sunlounger to look up for long periods without straining your neck<\/p><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1500\" height=\"478\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/48\/2020\/12\/quadrantid-meteor-train-9cc79b2.jpg\" alt=\"\u00de A Quadrantid meteor train distorting under the influence of high-altitude winds.
