Thirty-seven juvenile white storks were released at the Knepp Estate, West Sussex, in August, after being hatched at Cotswold Wildlife Park and Gardens and Kent’s Wildwood Trust earlier in the summer. The White Stork Project aims to restore a population of at least 50 breeding pairs in southern England by 2030 through a phased release programme.
