Yes there are some people who get bitten more than others. The mosquito-magnets among us are bitten up to 100 times more often, while Scottish biting midges prefer taller men and heavier women.

Why do some people get bitten by insects more?

These injustices are not well understood, but suggested factors include the amount of carbon dioxide a person exhales, or the levels of carboxylic acids in their sweat.

People with Type O blood also seem to get bitten more, though on the plus side they’re also less susceptible to malaria, which is spread by mosquitos.
