There are only around 5,500 tigers left in the wild and the big cat is listed as ‘endangered’ by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

In a bid to help protect the charismatic cat, wildlife charity Remembering Wildlife will be publishing a book – Remembering Tigers – later this year.

20 of the images set to feature in the book are the result of Remembering Wildlife‘s prestigious photography competition. Here, we look at the winning photos.

“Interest in the Remembering Wildlife series grows each year,” says Remembering Wildlife founder and producer Margot Raggett, “and this spectacular set of 20 competition-winning images will help us tell the story of tigers and make Remembering Tigers the most beautiful book on the species the world has ever seen.”
