See the moment this ‘walking’ cephalopod takes its very first steps
A British videographer has captured the stunning moment a baby flamboyant cuttlefish (Metasepia Pfefferi) hatches and swims off into the ocean.
Flamboyant cuttlefish are known for their ostentatiously bright colours and ability to use their fins to walk along the seafloor.
The tiny animals, which only reach about 8cm long, are also popular with scuba divers because they’re so adorable. “Is this the cutest cuttlefish in the ocean?” says Jacob Guy who captured the footage.
