Colour change <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

I was mesmerised when I found these newly hatched stink bugs in my backyard under the leaf of a guava tree. Without disturbing them, I captured some photographs one evening with the help of a focus assist light and flash diffuser. When I checked on the insects a few days later, I found their colour had changed to almost deep brown and most of them had scattered \u2013 I could only spot two. <\/span><\/p>\n\n

A thing for flamingos <\/strong><\/h4>\n\n

This image is the result of hours of patience, crawling knee-deep in the muddy water. Bhigwan Lake is home to many migratory birds, including the greater flamingos. Every winter they visit the lake in their thousands. In 2022 I went to see the flamingos before they migrated. The water level was low and allowed me to wade in with my gear. <\/p>\n\n

I went on an Alaskan photography tour to capture brown bears during the salmon run. I was on the bank of the stream with our group watching this large female fish in the stream. She was not having a lot of luck and after one dive she gave herself a good shake. <\/p>\n\n

While snow-shoeing with my son on a cold morning, looking for owls to photograph, I noticed three little heads poking out of a tree cavity looking down on me. We could not believe what we had found: northern flying squirrels. <\/p>\n\n

This was taken in a wildlife area five minutes from my home. It was towards the end of May and the western grebe chicks had just hatched \u2013 they were only two days old. <\/p>\n\n

Hoping for a decent image of an otter at night I settled in at a location in Lincolnshire. Six hours later this beautiful creature turned up. Luckily it gave a shake of its head that created an amazing light display and reflections I had never seen before. <\/p>\n\n
