With about 350 setts and 200 adult animals, Bristol is declared the badger capital of Britain by Stephen Harris in the January 1988 issue of BBC<\/em>Wildlife. <\/em>\u2018The Metro Sett\u2019 feature links to a BBC programme on urban badgers called Brockside<\/em>and includes images that show the relationship between badgers and humans in the city: \u201cThe Slaters have been visited by their nocturnal neighbours almost every day for 27 years\u2026 Now, at least half the badgers have supper indoors. It takes an hour to prepare the food (one badger can consume the equivalent of 16 buns in a sitting).\u201d <\/p>\n\n
