Strongly territorial, a robin will sing, posture by puffing its red chest and \u2013 if necessary \u2013 fight to hold its ground.<\/p>\n<p>Researchers from <a href=\"\/\/aru.ac.uk\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Anglia Ruskin University<\/a> and <a href=\"\/\/www.ku.edu.tr\/en\/&quot;\" target=\"&quot;_blank&quot;\" rel=\"&quot;noopener&quot; noopener noreferrer\">Ko\u00e7 University in<\/a> Turkey used a robin model and recordings of songs to measure aggression between territorial robins and intruders in rural and urban settings.<\/p>\n<p>This showed that town robins are typically more aggressive than country ones.
