When is The Earthshot Prize: Repairing Our Planet<\/em> on TV?<\/h2>\n
The first episode of The Earthshot Prize: Repairing Our Planet<\/em> airs on BBC One at 6.05pm, just before Strictly Come Dancing<\/em> at 7.05pm and\u00a0The Mating Game<\/a>, <\/em>Attenborough\u2019s other new series with Silverback Films, at 8pm.<\/p>\n
The five episodes will air across the first two weeks of October, and will be available to watch on BBC iPlayer.<\/p>\n

Trailer \u2013 BBC Trailers<\/em><\/p>\n<hr\/><h2>What is <em>The Earthshot Prize: Repairing Our Planet<\/em> about?<\/h2>\n<p>This documentary series covers the five Earthshots from The Earthshot Prize, a global environmental prize launched by Prince William and The Royal Foundation in October 2020.<\/p>\n<p>It features a number of members of the Earthshot Prize Council, including Sir David by championing inspiring leadership and helping to scale incredible cutting-edge solution, and was inspired by President John F. Kennedy\u2019s \u2018Moonshot\u2019 programme in the 1960s.<\/p>\n<p>Five \u00a31 million prizes will be awarded each year for the next 10 years, providing at least 50 solutions to the world\u2019s greatest environmental problems by 2030.<\/p>\n<p>Each episode focusses on one of the missions and the series reveals the 15 prize finalists, which were announced by Prince William on Friday 17 September.<\/p>\n<h4>1. <a href=\"\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/p09w81sc"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Protect & Restore Nature<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Sir David Attenborough introduces us to inspiring people with solutions to help restore nature, and reveals the three finalists of the first ever Earthshot Prize for Nature.<\/p>\n<h4>2. <a href=\"\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/p09w81sh"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Fix Our Climate<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Prince William, Sir David Attenborough and Christiana Figueres highlight inspiring and often unexpected solutions to the climate challenge.<\/p>\n<h4>3. <a href=\"\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/p09w81sp"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Clean Our Air<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Prince William, Sir David Attenborough and astronaut Naoko Yamazaki hear the personal stories of people who are directly affected by air pollution and look at possible solutions.<\/p>\n<h4>4. <a href=\"\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/p09w81st"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Revive Our Oceans<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Prince William, David Attenborough and Shakira find out about inspiring people and projects across the world that can help us stop damaging the oceans and enable their revival.<\/p>\n<h4>5. <a href=\"\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/programmes\/p09w81sz"\" target=\""_blank"\" rel=\""noopener" noopener noreferrer\">Build a Waste-Free World<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Prince William, David Attenborough and Hindou Oumarou Ibrahim see how we might reimagine our production lines to solve the problem of the vast amount of waste we produce.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday 17 October, BBC One will air coverage of the first Earthshot Prize awards ceremony, taking place at Alexandra Palace in London.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the run up to COP 26, there couldn\u2019t be a more critical time to air this landmark series, and celebrate the amazing ingenuity of people across the world,\u201d says Charlotte Moore, BBC Chief Content Officer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach of the recently announced finalists have devised creative and extraordinary solutions to combat environmental problems, and we are proud to support Prince William and The Royal Foundation in this uplifting and inspirational initiative.\u201d<\/p>\n<div class=\""mceTemp"\"\/>\n<hr\/><p><em>Main image: HRH Prince William. \u00a9 Erica Wilson\/Silverback Films\/BBC<\/em><\/p><\/body><\/html>\n<hr class=\"no-tts wp-block-separator\"\/>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>By Megan Shersby Published: Friday, 01 October 2021 at 12:00 am When is The Earthshot Prize: Repairing Our Planet on TV?
