The Idaho Potato Museum in the US, the Derwent Pencil Museum in England\u2019s<a href=\"https:\/\/www.countryfile.com\/go-outdoors\/lake-district-holiday-guide-where-to-stay-and-eat-days-out-and-beautiful-walks\"> Lake District <\/a>\u2013 and now the <a href=\"https:\/\/poozeum.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Poozeum<\/a>, home to the world\u2019s largest collection of\u00a0fossilised <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/search?preview=true&amp;phrase=dinosaur\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dinosaur<\/a> poop.<\/strong><\/p><p\/><p>You\u2019ll find George Frandsen&#8217;s newly opened museum in Williams, a small town in northern Arizona. The record-breaking compendium of 8,000 pieces of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/dinosaurs\/what-are-coprolites?preview=true\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coprolite<\/a>, the scientific name for fossilised faeces, includes the largest carnivore coprolite ever found.<\/p><ul><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/animal-facts\/mammals\/whale-poo-planet\">Why is whale poo good for the planet?<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/animal-facts\/birds\/why-is-bird-poo-white\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Why is bird poo white?<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/how-to\/identify-wildlife\/how-to-identihttps:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/how-to\/identify-wildlife\/how-to-identify-animal-droppingsfy-animal-droppings\">How to identify animal droppings<\/a><\/li><\/ul><p>\u201cInitially, many people react with a \u2018yuck\u2019 face or laughter when they first hear about the Poozeum,\u201d Frandsen said in an interview with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.guinnessworldrecords.com\/news\/2024\/5\/welcome-to-the-poozeum-coprolite-collector-quits-job-to-open-museum-of-fossilize-769764\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Guinness World Records<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u201cHowever, after witnessing the collection, their reactions often shift to shock at the diverse and intriguing nature of coprolites.\u201d<\/p><p>\u201cGiven that most people have little to no experience with coprolites, it\u2019s enjoyable to introduce them to this fascinating world and share the wonders they hold.\u201d<\/p><p>The collection includes not only the world\u2019s largest collection of coprolite but also one of the biggest individual pieces ever found. A colossal 67.5 centimetres long and 15.7 centimetres wide, Frandsen thinks the giant specimen came from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/news\/could-you-have-outrun-tyrannosaurus-rex-yes-say-researchers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Tyrannosaurus Rex<\/a>.<\/p><p>The Poozeum was originally created by Frandsen as an online resource in 2014.
