Photographer Heather Hamilton has shared incredible\u00a0footage<\/a>\u00a0of her swimming through a salp bloom in Cornwall, south-west England.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>

\u201cThe early morning light meant that the salps glistened, looking like fairy light,\u201d she says on Instagram.<\/p>

\u201cSalps are strange relatives of sea squirts that live in the open oceans filter feeding, often in chains. These chains create fairy light-like structures in the water,\u201d explains the Cornwall Wildlife Trust<\/a> on its\u00a0website.<\/p>
