For the first time in BBC history, Asia is the focus point of a major new wildlife series \u2013 and it’s narrated by the legendary Sir David Attenborough<\/a>. <\/strong><\/p>

<\/div> <\/figure> <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When is<em> Asia <\/em>on TV?<\/h2> <p>The David Attenborough-led documentary Asia is available to watch on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/bbcone\">BBC iPlayer<\/a>.<\/p> <h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is <em>Asia<\/em> about?<\/h2> <p>Made by BBC Studios Natural History Unit and co-produced with BBC America, France T\u00e9l\u00e9visions and ZDF,<em> Asia<\/em> explores the amazing wildlife found on Earth’s largest continent. Filmed over the course of nearly four years, the series will cover the length and breadth of Asia and reveal remarkable landscapes and animals, and feature dramatic, previously unseen behaviour. It’s the first time that Asia has been the focus of a BBC wildlife series.<\/p> <ul class=\"wp-block-list\"> <li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/reviews\/best-david-attenborough-books\">Best David Attenborough books<\/a><\/li> <\/ul> <p>From the vast Gobi Desert to the jungles of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/holidays-days-out\/asia\/malaysian-borneo-wildlife\">Borneo<\/a>, and from the polar wilderness of Siberia to the coral seas of the Indian Ocean, the series will showcase the breathtaking variety of Asia\u2019s wildest places.<\/p> <p>Seven one-hour episodes will feature thrilling wildlife stories from all corners of the continent. In Nepal, we\u2019ll follow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/animal-facts\/mammals\/facts-about-rhinos\">rhinos<\/a> playing \u2018kiss chase\u2019 in a bizarre courtship ritual. In the foothills of the Himalaya, amidst forests of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/plant-facts\/whats-the-fastest-growing-plant\">bamboo<\/a>, we\u2019ll meet Asia\u2019s shyest and possibly cutest mammal: the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/animal-facts\/mammals\/red-panda-facts\">red panda<\/a>.<\/p> <div class=\"wp-block-image\"> <figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"768\" height=\"512\" src=\"https:\/\/c02.purpledshub.com\/uploads\/sites\/62\/2024\/10\/BBC-Asia-TV-where-to-watch.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-114255\"\/> <figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\"> BBC\/BBC Studios \/ Staffan Widstrand \/ Wild Wonders of China \/ naturepl.com <\/figcaption> <\/figure> <\/div> <p>Five thousand metres up on the Tibetan Plateau, we\u2019ll witness a lone wolf relentlessly hunting a herd of antelope for hours on end. In Sri Lanka, we\u2019ll join <a href=\"https:\/\/www.discoverwildlife.com\/animal-facts\/mammals\/facts-about-elephants\">elephants<\/a> that have learnt to become highway thieves \u2013 holding up buses to get food from the passengers. We were so pleased having him voice <em>Asia<\/em>. I think he was similarly excited about the stories. It’s always lovely when you get feedback from David and he says, \u201cOh, I really enjoyed that.\u201d His enthusiasm never seems to dwindle.
