In the finale of the Spring Classics, the packed women’s peloton rounds a bend but it will eventually be whittled down to one: Annemiek van Vleuten (Movistar). After a string of near misses, van Vleuten went solo on the Côte de la Roche aux Faucons, winning comfortably. It was a similar story in the men’s race, with Remco Evenepoel’s (Quick-Step Alpha Vinyl Team) long-range attack sealing a careerbest win.
