Established by one of the early pioneers of mountain biking, Keith Bontrager, Trek’s in-house equipment brand now offers a wide range of cycling components and accessories for all disciplines.
The range includes, but is not limited to, lights, helmets, luggage, wheelsets, saddles, clothing, shoes and tyres, for road riding, gravel riding, commuting and mountain biking.
For the mountain bikers among us, here are six trail-friendly highlights from Trek’s range.
Unsure about your choice? All Trek and Bontrager products are covered by the brand’s 30-day ‘unconditional guarantee’, so if you don’t love it, you can return it.
Bontrager Solstice MIPS Helmet
Kitted out with MIPS protection at a very competitive price, the Bontrager Solstice is a do-it-all helmet that’s just as suitable on the trails as it is on the commute.
The MIPS liner has been developed to reduce the impact of rotational forces on the brain during crashes, and is usually found on more expensive mountain bike helmets and road cycling helmets.
The two size options are adjustable via the dial on the back, and the straps are secured using a magnetic Fidlock buckle.
Six colours are on offer and, thanks to Trek’s crash replacement guarantee, you can request a free helmet replacement if you write-off your Solstice MIPS within the first year.

Bontrager Evoke MTB Shoes
If you’re looking for a pair of sleek and easily adjustable clipless shoes for mountain biking, the Bontrager Evoke shoes are well worth consideration.
The fit is easily dialled in using a BOA L6 dial and wire lace, making light work of getting a snug fit.
The Tachyon rubber sole, with recessed cleat bolts and deep tread, should deliver plentiful grip for when you hop off the bike, allowing you to push back up the trail and session to your heart’s content.
Opt for a stealth black colourway or inject some colour into your kit with the navy and orange or the turquoise-on-grey option.

Bontrager Flare RT Rear Bike Light
Trek doesn’t mince its words when it comes to its thoughts on safety, and is a strong advocate of using daytime-running lights.
The compact Flare RT rear light attaches to the seatpost of any bike type using the rubberised strap, and has a specific flash pattern, beam focus and range designed to be seen in daylight conditions.
Bontrager claims the 90-lumen flash pattern can be seen from up to two kilometres away, even during daytime hours, making it a smart choice for those linking sections of road between singletrack.
The clever little light also has its own light sensor, so the brightness is automatically adjusted based on ambient conditions.
Trek says the updated USB charging port is secure with an IPX7 waterproof rating, so you can fit and forget on filthy trails.

Bontrager Dual Charger Floor Pump
While some people like to divide riders into two camps, there are a lot of us who enjoy riding flat-out on our road bikes as well as navigating techy lines in the woods on our mountain bikes.
However, just as the disciplines differ, so do the mechanical demands of these machines, and that extends to the tools and spares you need at home.
A bike pump is just one example, where ideally you need a high-pressure pump to easily achieve the right pressure for narrow road tyres, and a high-volume pump to inflate your mountain bike tyres (or gravel tyres) to your preferred setting.
Bontrager’s Dual Charger floor pump allows you to do both, with a switch enabling you to change between modes without needing two separate track pumps.

Bontrager Rapid Pack
Unless you’re heading out for a high-mountain epic, these days most mountain bikers prefer to carry their tools and spares in a hip pack rather than a rucksack.
Not only are these lighter, but they also improve ventilation to your back, so you end up a little less sweaty, and keep you agile on the bike.
The Bontrager Rapid Pack might look very sleek, but the 1.64-litre capacity, internal pocket dividers, phone sleeve and key holder mean you can safely store all your essentials, as well as a water bottle in the central holder.
