Pinarello Dogma F10 Disc frameset – £4,600 £2,600 (save 44%)
Okay, so this doesn’t really qualify as a ‘cheap’ bike frame, but before you scroll angrily to the comments just take a look at the size of that discount!
Sadly, Pinarellos are rarely ever actually cheap, but with the money you save against the RRP on this frameset, you could probably get a groupset, components and wheels to complete the build.
If you ride a 57cm frameset, this really is one to check out.
Kinesis Aithen disc road frameset 2021 – £800 £599 (save 25%)
When we reviewed the Kinesis Aithen Disc earlier this year, we praised its clean lines, stiff ride and its affordability.
This reduced frameset makes Kinesis’s aluminium race bike even more affordable, and if you’re looking for a go-fast budget build we highly recommend checking it out.
Kinesis Tripster AT disc gravel frameset – £800 £675 (save 25%)
The Kinesis Tripster AT is billed as a gravel bike, but it started life as an ultra-endurance machine. It makes a perfect winter road bike with clearance for wide tyres, mounts for mudguards and practicality at its core. When we tested the frame a few years ago, we found it proved rock solid and had refined handling.
In keeping with the brand’s reputation, the frameset is also a great deal, made sweeter by the current 16% discount at Sigma Sports.
Condor Leggero 2018 frameset – £3,499 £2,399 (save 31%)
This Condor Leggero 2018 super-light carbon frameset is identical to those ridden by the British bike builder’s former team, JLT Condor.
The geometry looks racy, but you won’t quite need a pro team budget to afford it now Condor has knocked more than £1,000 off.
On-One Hello Dave – £799.99 £499.99 (save 37%)
The On-One Hello Dave is a wallet-friendly shredder, and it currently has 37 per cent off. Don’t let the hardtail design deceive you, this bike is designed for bombing through the woods and isn’t scared of taking on gravity rides.
The geometry is inspired by downhill bikes, and it has a radical 62-degree head tube angle and 77-degree seat tube angle. If you’re looking for a cheap, easy-to-maintain build with lots of potential, the Hello Dave is worth a look.
Eddy Merckx Laverdo68 road bike frameset – £1,599 £1,200 (save 25%)
Chain Reaction Cycles pitches the Eddy Merckx Laverdo68 as a perfect endurance-focused rim brake frameset. At just £1,200, it’s also relatively affordable for a high-spec frameset. Could this be the basis of a new adventure wagon for road-going adventures in 2021?
Pinnacle Ramin 2020 mountain bike frame – £250 £199 (save 20%)
If you’re looking for a simple frameset to build into a do-it-all trail hardtail, you could do worse than the Pinnacle Ramin.
You get a standard-sized set of component interfaces, such as a 73mm BSA threaded bottom bracket, post brake mounts and Boost dropouts, which should make picking up components to go on the frameset easy.
Better still, it’s available with £50 off right now at Evans.
Lugged Bicycle Frame Construction: third edition – £11.43
If you’re just too much of a perfectionist and struggling to find the perfect frame to build up, why not make your own?
