Best bike light Black Friday 2021 deals

Exposure Six Pack MK11 – £435 £348 (save 20%)

"Exposure
The Exposure Six Pack adjusts brightness up to 5,000 lumens to match your speed.
Ian Linton / Immediate Media

The chunky Exposure Six Pack was one of BikeRadar’s highest-rated mountain bike lights in a recent test, scoring 4.5 stars.

The in-built Reflex tech uses accelerometers to calculate how fast you’re travelling and how rough the terrain is, and boosts or dips brightness accordingly.

A massive maximum claimed output (3,600 lumens in constant mode) and good beam spread make it an excellent (but pricy) option for illuminating trails at night. This healthy Black Friday discount from Sigma Sports sweetens the pill and is the lowest price we’ve found.

Knog PWR Road 700L — £84.99 £59.49 (save 25%)

"Pack
The Knog PWR Road’s power bank and charging options make it a good choice for touring or multi-day rides.
Russell Burton / Immediate Media

Knog’s modular PWR system is based around a central power pack available in a number of different capacities.

Here it’s paired with a 700-lumen head, which offers excellent beam quality and versatility, in an easy-to-use device.

Our tester found it simple to move through the PWR Road 700L’s six modes. This is worth bearing in mind when wearing full finger winter gloves.

We gave this already keenly priced product four stars in our review. It’s a Black Friday bargain from ProBikeKit at 25 per cent off.

Exposure MaXx D MK13 — £385 £308 (save 20%)

"Exposure
The MaXx D MK13 has an OLED screen that displays current mode, battery charge and run time.
Ian Linton / Immediate Media

Exposure’s MaXx D MK13 is a high-tech light for dark off-roading. It features the same Reflex mode as seen on the Six Pack, and includes four XP-L2 LEDs to  produce a maximum 4,000 lumens in Reflex mode.

The MaXx D doesn’t come cheap, but its power and technology gained it four stars. Leisure Lakes Bikes’ Black Friday deal is the best we’ve found.

Bontrager Ion Pro RT — £99 £86 (save 13%)

"Bontrager
Bontrager Ion PRO RT’s beam can be controlled by a Garmin via Bluetooth.
Russel Burton / Immediate Media

This high-performance, adaptable light comes highly rated and is now even better value thanks to Triton Cycles’ Black Friday deal, the best we’ve spotted.

With a sizeable 1,200-lumen maximum output and well-focused beam, the Bontrager Ion RT is suitable for unlit, low traffic roads as well as trails. Its five modes and three power settings allow you to dial down the power for more urban settings and daytime riding.

Our tester could barely fault it, awarding the Ion RT four and a half stars in our review.

Lezyne Hecto Drive 500XL — £45 £29.99 (save 33%)

"Lezyne
Lezyne Hecto Drive 500XL is a portable light for short, urban rides.
Lezyne

The Lezyne Hecto Drive XL’s 500 lumens is enough for a decent pace on unlit bike paths, though with only one hour of run time at max output, the Hecto is best for use as an urban light.

It charges quickly, stays in the mode you last used it in (surprisingly handy) and offers a total of eight flashing and constant modes, with claimed run times of between one hour and 20 hours.

The Lezyne Hecto Drive 500XL would come in handy as a backup light, especially now with a third cut off the price. Wiggle’s Black Friday deal is the cheapest we’ve come across.

When is Black Friday 2021?

Black Friday is an annual consumer event notorious for brands discounting everything from tech and gadgets to bikes and kit. This year, it takes place on Friday 27 November, just a month before Christmas.

It’s also directly followed by Cyber Monday on 30 November, but over the last few years we’ve seen retailers start their deals weeks in advance. Amazon Prime Day is an excellent example of this, taking place over a 48-hour period on 13 and 14 November.

Fewer people will be wanting to hit the shops last-minute this year so brands are likely to take advantage of this and share their best offers online rather than in-store.

Whether bike lights are on your wishlist or you know a cycling enthusiast who needs some, you’ll find the best bike light Black Friday deals right here.

Are bike light deals on Black Friday worth waiting for?

"CatEye
We’ll be shining a light on the best Black Friday cycling deals this week.
Russell Burton / Immediate Media

Last year we saw huge reductions on bike light prices from brands including Light & Motion, Guee, Exposure Blackburn.

And there were big opportunities not only to save on single bike lights, but also on sets. On several occasions we also saw those with an RRP over £100 dropping to £40.

As always, it’s worth referring to tools such as Camel Camel Camel to ensure deals are as good as they seem.

How to get a good deal on Black Friday

  • Do your research beforehand so you have a particular product in mind
  • Be familiar with the RRP price of the products so you can better judge the savings available with each deal
  • Make a list and stay focused – it’s easy to get sidetracked when there are so many products to choose from. We’ll do all the deals trawling so you don’t have to
  • Many brands use Black Friday as a way to clear space for newer stock and product models. Although the latest models might not automatically be on sale, this doesn’t mean you won’t find excellent models from previous ranges.
  • Check out our top-rated favourites of the best bike lights, tried and tested by the BikeRadar team.

Should I wait for Cyber Monday?

It’s hard to predict what offers will take place, but don’t wait for Cyber Monday to hit. Our advice is to know what you’re looking for, keep an eye on the deals on Black Friday and check back here for all the latest updates and offers.
