Dharco’s new MTB trousers feature ‘articulated cut’ and eye-catching design
Dharco is known for giving its products some bold designs – even for mountain bike clothing – and these leopard print Gravity Pants bring the feverish dancefloors of a 1980s nightclub to the trails.
The mountain bike trousers aren’t just about looks, though, Dharco has packed in plenty of technical features too.
The Gravity Pants are available from Dharco’s website and are priced at £126 / $156 / €139.95 / AU$189.95.
Four-way fabric and an articulated cut
The Gravity Pants are made from a Bluesign-approved water-resistant four-way stretch fabric. Dharco says the fabric blends softness and breathability, while using fewer chemicals and water in the production process than other mountain bike trousers.
The leopard print covers almost all of the pants’ panels. Only a small black panel features the Dharco logo.
A double-button closure is used to fasten the pants, with added Velcro positioned beneath the buttons for extra strength.
The waist features an elasticated internal belt that can be adjusted using the Velcro tabs on the hips.
Dharco says it has given the Gravity Pants an ‘articulated cut’, enabling extra freedom of movement.
The cut also allows room for mountain bike knee pads, with the brand adding a second layer of fabric at the knee area for durability, acting as a knee patch of sorts.
The trousers have three pockets, with a large weatherproof zip featuring on the right thigh, a small ‘key’ pocket on the left, and a rear pocket above the backside that’s big enough for a small phone.
Fancy pants
While the Gravity Pants will be at home at the bike park or in the forest, jungles are seemingly out of the question due to the risk of poachers.
However, these pants might be perfect if a mullet tickles your neck when riding fast, or if you want to go to your next fancy dress ride as Joe Exotic.
